TELLING IT LIKE IT IS.

Sometime near the end of last year I came across a video of a designer explaining the importance of contracts and how designers have a lot more power in situations than we give ourselves credit for. Not only did the guy have some great points that we all need to adhere to, but he delivered them in a hilatious way. That guy was Mike Montiero, Design Director at Mule Design.

The video really resonated with me and I told myself I am going to start standing by my work and the contracts that I enter into. You know that point when you start doubting yourself and your work? F*ck that point, kick it in the ass and remember this is what you do for a living, you are the professional, you are the one that studies this stuff day in and day out... Stand by your solutions!

Anyway, the point of posting this up here was to provide this video for all the designers reading this as well as link over to an article on Net Magazine.com that Mike Montiero wrote entitled "10 New Year's Resolutions for Designers". There is some great stuff in there... go on, get empowered!
